Happy 2026! The new year brings more opportunities to keep on keeping on. It’s a fresh start only to the calendar year. Naturally, it may not align with the seasons. And spiritually, you just may be where God still wants you. Going through to get to. And that’s okay.

As time passes me by–I’m accepting what I just wrote out more and more. My spiritual shift began in 2025. By completing what God told me to do before release. But also, in honoring and meditating on “God I trust you.” A term I have to live on. Sit in his presence to understand. Then trust with a blind bold faith.

Preparing to navigate 2026 came with refreshing on my 2024 and 2025 growth. The starting point was me asking how I transitioned into those years and what goals did I set. It’s been a while since I set new year resolutions. I find it more helpful by finding some ambiguous and vague goals or terms to aim towards. This gives me more flexibility to align my strategies, tactics, failures, and next steps throughout the year.

While I am still sitting with exactly what some of those goals are, here is what I can share:

  1. Restraint was a thing in 2024 and 2025. It was a part of my mindfulness and wholeness journey. This year I plan to be more intentional about releasing the lion inside of me. The roar contributes to greatness just as the silence does.
  2. Detachment feels good. Sometimes it naturally happens. Don’t try to stay connected.
  3. God got it. Literally. And he got you. Don’t just trust the process–embrace living it.
  4. Restorative yoga, massages, breathing freely, and pedicures will continue to be a vibe!
  5. Elevated dining and happy hours are a passion project that meets self-care.
  6. Baking, sculpting, and drawing are making a comeback. I have to be intentional there.
  7. Don’t get that lick back. Hold out just a little bit. It’ll fall in line. Believe me.
  8. Folks always show their character: who they are, how they move, and that they never saw you differently. Even intimacy. Adjust accordingly.
  9. Pray. Read that bible. Sow that seed. Tell God the raw deep truth. He knows anyway!
  10. Smile. By choice or force. It’s like the sunshining from within. Don’t let it break you.

Happy 2026! Complete the Work.
